Live Cancun as a local

Cancun is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. It’s also a great place to visit if you’re looking for a cheap weekend getaway, but don’t want to miss out on some of the best things about Mexico. If you’ve never been to Cancun before, here are some tips for how to make your trip memorable without breaking the bank:

Night clubs

Other than the beach, nightclubs are another great activity to do in Cancun. There are many different types of clubs that you can visit depending on your taste. Some clubs have live music, while others have a DJ playing popular hits all night long. Some clubs specialize in house music, while others play hip-hop or reggaeton. You’re sure to find something that fits your musical style at one of these venues!

Nightlife is big business in Cancun and there are plenty of options for those who want to party beyond your condo walls. The city’s most famous nightclub is Cocobongo, which has been popular among tourists since its opening in 1995 by German expats. Located near Plaza Las Americas mall on Paseo Kukulcan Boulevard (the main road running through downtown), this upscale venue boasts an impressive pool area as well as five bars and four dance floors where guests can enjoy live reggaeton performances from local DJs like Dady Yankee & J Alvarez.

If you prefer something less mainstream but still want some loud music going into your ears all night long then Cheers Night Club might be more up your alley – this club specializes in salsa dancing which they teach every Sunday during two-hour lessons before opening up their doors at 9pm each day thereafter!

Isla Mujeres

If you’re looking for a day trip from Cancun with no tourists, look no further than Isla Mujeres. This small island off the coast of Mexico is about 45 minutes by ferry from downtown Cancun.

Isla Mujeres offers tons of activities, beautiful beaches and great restaurants. You can rent a golf cart to tour around the island or take a leisurely stroll through town. If you have time, check out Playa Norte in Isla Mujeres – it’s one of the most beautiful beaches in the world!

Playa del Carmen

Playa del Carmen is a popular tourist destination and is known for its beautiful white sand beaches. It’s also a great spot for shopping, dining and nightlife. If you’re looking for more of an adventure, Playa del Carmen is only 45 minutes away from Cancun.

There are many things to do in Playa del Carmen:

Go surfing with Sunset Surf School! They offer private lessons, group classes, sunset tours and more! Their surf instructors have been surfing since they were kids so they know what they’re doing!

Playa Palms Resort offers yoga classes every day at 9am and 5pm – just check their website before you go because they may not be offering them all the time. There’s also a gym on site if you want to work out after your class.

You can rent kayaks from Kayak Nautilus or Island Tours Cozumel & Isla Mujeres; both companies offer guided tours where you’ll see dolphins swimming alongside your boat.

Tours and activities

The hotel zone is your best bet for a day of leisure. If you’re looking to explore the city, consider the Parque Maya (which is located in the hotel zone). You can make your way through this large amusement park by foot or by bike. There are plenty of rides and attractions here —from roller coasters to ferris wheels—so be sure to bundle up with sunscreen and water before heading out!

One activity that’s sure to get your blood pumping is scuba diving. Cancun has some of the best diving spots in all of Mexico—and since it’s so close to Cozumel Island, one of our favorite places for diving on vacation, there’s no reason not

Beaches

You might be wondering, what makes Cancun beaches so great? The beaches are public and you can use them for free. There are many options of what to do at the beach in Cancun, from swimming and sunbathing to enjoying a meal at one of the many beach clubs around town. Some of these clubs include Coco Bongo Beach Club, which is located on Playa Azul Beach, or Viva Beach Club, which has a relaxed vibe with an ample amount of seating areas for guests who want to enjoy some food or drinks while they’re there.

Chichen Itza

If you’re in Cancun, you have to visit the Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza. This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of the most important archaeological sites in the world, and an absolute must-see for any tourist visiting Mexico.

Chichen Itza has several temples that have been reconstructed since they were first built by the Mayans over 1,000 years ago. You can also see many unexcavated pyramids here as well as a cenote (a large natural sinkhole).

The Chichén Itzá archeological site contains some of the best preserved examples of Maya architecture in Central America. Built between 800 and 1200 AD by successive generations who had access to skills passed down through generations and materials from nearby locations such as Coba (where limestone was quarried), this site boasts both long-standing stonework and intricate artwork carved into them over time by skilled artisans using primitive tools such as stone chisels or hammers made out of rock; grinding stones; wooden mallets; tweezers made out of jadeite blades or deer antlers (for removing excess material); small knives made out of obsidian blades attached to handles made out leather strips wrapped around wooden sticks; etcetera…

The city of Cancun is a great place to visit. It offers everything you could want in a vacation: beaches, nightlife, shopping, and more! If you’re looking for fun things to do while visiting this beautiful city then check out some of the places listed above; they’re sure to leave an unforgettable impression on anyone who visits them!
